What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) during your navigation on a website. It allows the website to remember information about your visit and recognise you on subsequent visits. Cookies may be placed by RemVar (first-party cookies) or by third parties (third-party cookies).

Cookie categories

  • Strictly necessary cookies: essential for website operation, user authentication and service security. These cookies do not require your consent.
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand site usage and improve it, where applicable in an anonymised manner.
  • Session cookies: related to the use of the RemVar application by authenticated users.

Consent management

Non-essential cookies are only placed after your explicit consent has been collected via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit. You may at any time accept, refuse or configure these trackers without affecting the essential features of the site. Refusal does not affect access to the offered services.

Retention period

Session cookies expire automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies have a maximum lifetime of 13 months in line with CNIL recommendations. After this period, your consent is requested again.

How to change your choices

You may modify your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link available in the footer, or by configuring your browser directly (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Note however that disabling certain cookies may affect your experience on the website.
